Why do North Indians, living in Bangalore, not bother to learn Kannada?

I have grown up in the north and there were many southies around,we never really bothered if they knew Hindi or our local language because our relevance /existence isn't dependent on them.

In reality even if you will get a single person who cares for you,listens to you then it's nothing short of a miracle but it's beyond my understanding why people are wasting their precious time in fighting for the self created issues.

People don't mingle because they speak the same language but they usually mingle out of need and interests.

I'm looking for an answer from people who consider themselves "Gender Critical", or transphobic, or TERFs, and my question is this - Why would you refuse to use the pronouns someone wants? What does it cost you? Where's the harm?
